Character Design
I love creating original characters and reimagining personalities from my favorite games and movies. I enjoy starting with basic shapes, modifying existing models, and experimenting with lighting and effects. 3D Design
This was my first class focused on designing physical, three-dimensional objects. I learned to work with materials like paper, wire, clay, plastic straws, and even soap.!

2D Animation
Lunar Rabbits was a project for my 2D animation class at PCC, inspired by Japanese and other Asian myths that interpret the Moon’s dark markings as a rabbit living there. Interestingly, 2023 was also the Lunar Year of the Rabbit. I learned animation foundation from character design, story board, walk/run sequence, lip sync, rigging, sound effects, etc. And this was the final animation project that includes all these foundation elements. 3 main characters, Garry, Barry, Riley

Color Theory

Game Design
As a longtime video game fan, learning about game mechanics, the design process, and analyzing games, then actually designing one, was a completely different experience from just playing. I now have a much deeper appreciation for the incredible amount of work that game studios put into creating the games I love. Below is my final game design project - "Mario Party Balls"

Drawing
I took two drawing classes at PCC, where I learned a variety of techniques—from foundational skills to working with a range of different mediums. Final project (above): 3 Kakejiku series drawings of 3 trees of 3 cities that I have lived. Cherry blossom in Tokyo, palm trees in Los Angeles, chestnut tree in Paris.

Graphic Design
Although I didn’t have the opportunity to take a graphic design class at PCC, I learned how to use Adobe Illustrator in high school, and it has since become one of my favorite creative tools. Recreating Vintage Travel Posters For my high school graphic design class, I recreated vintage travel posters to master Adobe Illustrator skills, from understanding layers to working with gradients.
